2005 CONFERENCE SPEAKERS

Joe Abelson, Vice President, Emerging Markets, iSuppli Corporation
Joe brings more than 25 years of multi-national management experience to iSuppli. He is an expert on the electronics industry and business practices of China as well as global electronics marketing, industrial distribution and channel management.

At iSuppli, Joe directs research and consulting on the design, manufacture, and consumption of electronics in two of the world's fastest growing markets: China and India. His emphasis on business performance has enabled a number of iSuppli clients to expand their market positions, lower their material costs, and more effectively manage their Asia-based resources.

Before joining iSuppli, Joe was based in Hong Kong where he served as the vice president of strategic marketing for Avnet Asia. There, he launched a successful pan-Asia business unit, which exceeded $100 million in annual revenues during its second year of operation.



Dave Bassett, Solectron
David Bassett, senior director, Environmental Compliance, has been with Solectron since February 1999, holding several senior management positions within the company's design, new product introduction, engineering and global services division. He has more than 28 years of manufacturing, test, process and equipment engineering experience working in both Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) business environments.

In his current role, Bassett leads Solectron's Environmental Compliance team, overseeing the development and implementation of the company's RoHS/WEEE deployment strategy and rollout. He is responsible for managing a cross-functional organization that includes sales, marketing, design, engineering, environmental affairs, materials, operations and repair services efforts in support of Solectron's Environmental Compliance group.

Before joining Solectron, Bassett served in several senior managerial positions with IBM Corporation's offices in Austin, Texas, and Poughkeepsie, N.Y. While in Austin, Bassett re-engineered many of the company's NPI process, which resulted in improved design for manufacturability and time to market for several IBM PC product lines. He also supported the introduction of several ThinkPad product family lines and high-end commercial desktop/work station products. Bassett worked at IBM's Poughkeepsie office for 16 years, holding management positions in manufacturing and engineering in support of manufacturing technology used in IBM's high-end mainframe product lines.



Glenn Basset, Vice President, Strategic Business Development, Avnet
Glenn is vice president of strategic business development at Avnet Electronics Marketing, Americas. He has been with Avnet since 1994 and has been in the Defense and High Technology industries for over 20 years. At Avnet, Glenn held positions in warehouse operations/quality, business process reengineering, data warehousing, internet alliance management, service business development and promiere management. This broad based set of experiences prepared him for his current role as vice president of strategic business development where he is responsible for developing new business models and new channels to market for the Americas business. Prior to Avnet, Glenn worked as engineering statistician and engineering data manager with Litton (now Northrop Grumman) in its Electron Devices division, which manufactures night vision and infrared sensors for defense applications. He holds a bachelor's degree in business from Troy State University, Troy Alabama.


Jeff Bisgrove, Director for the ISTG Supply Network Capability and Account Management organization, a part of the Information Services and Technology Group (ISTG) at Intel.
ISTG's mission is to keep Intel running and growing by delivering such critical information capabilities as business applications, productivity solutions, voice and data networking, data center operations, and custom information solutions. In this role, Bisgrove is responsible for supply network program management, supply network capability development, including developing in concert with the business groups the business, technology and data changes needed to achieve these capabilities, and for the delivery and support of the manufacturing computing infrastructure supporting the manufacturing operations.

Until August 2005 Bisgrove managed the Office of Program Management in the ISTG Supply Network CAM and was responsible for planning and delivering critical supply demand programs. He has worked for Intel for 19 years and prior to joining ISTG in 2001, he held roles in Fab Capital Equipment Development (FCED) and Components Automation Systems (CAS).



Karl Braitberg, Vice President of Global Operations, Palm
Karl Braitberg joined Palm Inc. in December, 2001 and was one of the key members of the Operational Excellence team brought in to fuel the companies turn around and return to profitability. In his role as vice president of global operations, Karl is responsible for leading all aspects of the Palm's supply chain management process including demand and supply planning, factory execution, customer fulfillment, and reverse logistics. On an annual basis, Karl's departments manage the supply chain for more than 5 million handheld and smartphone units across five global regions. Karl brings a wealth of high technology supply chain experience along with proven expertise in developing teams and implementing innovative and highly analytic strategies to improve operations and supply chain performance.

During his career, Karl has held supply chain leadership roles at leading companies across a variety of high technology arenas: Karl was the Director of Collaborative Planning at Converge (high technology supply chain management consortium). Before Converge, Karl spent nine years in the semiconductor industry, most recently as the Director of Supply Chain & Data Systems for LSI Logic. Karl holds a master's degree in business administration from Colorado State University.



Jean-Philippe Brisson, Senior Associate, Global Environmental Group, Allen & Overy LLP
Jean-Philippe is a Senior Counsel in Allen & Overy's Global Environmental Law Group. JP advises global high-tech companies on all aspects of environmental law, including compliance with newly adopted European Union substance ban and take-back requirements. Since 2001, JP has spoken on WEEE and RoHS issues at more than 20 industry conferences organized by AeA, iNEMI, NEDA and other trade associations. JP also has extensive experience advising companies on environmental risks in corporate transactions and international environmental law more generally. JP is uniquely positioned to advise clients on international issues, having worked in the US, Canada and Belgium and having completed law degrees in common law, civil law and international environmental law. Prior to joining Allen & Overy, JP worked at the World Bank, where he advised on the establishment of the Prototype Carbon Fund, one of the world's largest sources of financing for climate change projects


Tim Carroll, Vice President, Supply Chain Operations, IBM Integrated Supply Chain
Tim Carroll is currently the Vice President, Supply Chain Operations for IBM's Integrated Supply Chain. He is responsible for worldwide manufacturing and fulfillment, operations and strategy for IBM. Mr. Carroll has worked at IBM since 1981, when he joined the company as a systems analyst. Several years later in 1988, Mr. Carroll was named project manager for memory and logic cards production control for IBM mainframe computers.

In 1991, Mr. Carroll was named senior planner, responsible for worldwide supply and demand of the IBM S/390 mainframe computer. Followed by the position of site inventory manager, where he received the IBM Corporate Technical Achievement Award for his efforts in re-engineering the worldwide S/390 manufacturing process. In 1993, Mr. Carroll was assigned the responsibility of establishing a worldwide supply chain logistics division for the recently announced Thinkpad laptop brand within the IBM PC Company. Shortly after, Mr. Carroll moved to Raleigh, where he assumed responsibility for all of North America's Thinkpad operations, which included several functional level management assignments, ranging from materials operations to plant operations, along with providing functional guidance to the IBM's Guadalajara, Mexico manufacturing facility. At the end of 1998, Mr. Carroll was named director of global sales operations for the IBM Personal Systems Group (PSG), responsible for establishing global account management, as well as the starting-up a logistics model to support a direct relationship with IBM clients. In January 2002, Mr. Carroll was named Vice President of the newly established Integrated Supply Chain division with supply chain responsibility for all of IBM's for PSG and IBM xSeries eServer products, reporting to Bob Moffat, Senior Vice President, Integrated Supply Chain. Most recently, Mr. Carroll was responsible for managing more than 2,500 employees and contractors in the supply chain divestiture of IBM's PSG to Lenovo. The final changeover on April 29 was the most complex in IBM's history, shifting more than 11,000 employees in 66 countries to Lenovo.

Mr. Carroll graduated with a BA from SUNY Oswego with a degree in Information Science and a minor in Economics.



Matt Chanoff, Senior Project Manager, Technology Forecasters Inc.
Mr. Chanoff has a Masters of Arts degree in International Economics and Politics. He has designed and implemented broad-scale market evaluations and market-entry strategies in the United States, China, and Southeast Asia for Fortune 500 companies in several industries, including electronic components, high-tech materials, software, automotive market and aftermarket, chemicals, investment, and professional services. Since 1997, Mr. Chanoff has managed projects for TFI in the areas of supply chain management, new market assessment, customer pre-qualification, acquisitions, and siting manufacturing facilities. Mr. Chanoff manages our custom research projects, delivers recommendations to clients, and is a lead analyst on TFI's annual contract manufacturing study.


Russ Childrey, Vice President / Director, Cal Safety Compliance Corp.
Russ Childrey joined Cal Safety and Compliance Corp. (CSCC) in 1997 and is currently the Vice President and Director of Marketing. Russ has audited in over 30 countries and developed social accountability programs for brands and retailers in the USA and Europe, who are sourcing globally and reporting to stakeholders and stockholders on their ethical compliance. He has been a speaker at Universities and industry groups throughout North America, Europe and Asia.

During his eight year tenure at CSCC, Russ has served the firm as an auditor, account manager, client development manager and the director of client services. He has also been an integral member of the CSCC and STR strategic management committee since helping implement the CSCC merger with STR Corp. in 1999. Prior to joining CSCC, Russ worked for several large and small firms in general management, finance, marketing and sales.



Mark Conley, President, O'Donnell Associates North
Mark Conley has spent the majority of his life in Silicon Valley. Mark graduated from California State University, Chico with a BA in Political Science. During college, Mark worked for Assemblyman Stan Statham in the 1st Assembly District of California. After his political stint, Mark embarked on his electronics career.

After one year as a buyer for the Sperry Univac Corporation, Mark joined the O'Donnell Associates North Corporation in late 1979 where he has been ever since. In 1991 Mark completed his purchase of O'Donnell North, becoming President of the company at the same time. During his tenure, sales for the company have grown by 20% annually. O'Donnell Associates North, Inc. is a manufacturer's representative firm based in Silicon Valley focusing on electro-mechanical and passive interconnect product lines. The company employs 13 people today and is one of the larger rep companies in Silicon Valley.

Mark is active in the National ERA (Electronic Representatives Association) supporting many venues. He serves on the National Board of Directors for ERA and has been a co-chair of the annual ERA National Conference for the past three years. Mark is active in the local chapter of ERA and is also an active member on the Board of Directors of EDS (Electronic Distribution Show).



Chris Crotty, Senior Analyst, Consumer Electronics, iSuppli Corporation
At iSuppli, Chris focuses on consumer electronics including: digital cameras, MP3 players, portable media players, video game consoles and DVD equipment. In addition, Chris covers the image sensor market.

Chris comes to iSuppli with over 14 years of experience in technology and consumer marketing. Most recently he was the Manager of Market Research for Cypress Semiconductor. He held key positions with GTE Wireless and Kyocera, where he founded a market research group and established a successful consumer products business. Chris has also worked as an independent consultant specializing in market analysis.

Chris has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Duke University.



Jerry Czerwonka, Director, Quality Assurance, Avnet
As director of Quality Assurance, Jerry Czerwonka is responsible for Avnet EMA's quality system and quality process improvement initiatives. Joining Avnet in 1988, Jerry started his career in Honeywell's mainframe computer operations before moving to SGI Phoenix. He has held progressively more responsible positions in production management, quality and test engineering and quality assurance management. Actively involved in numerous industry associations, including NEDA and JEDEC, Jerry addresses industry quality standards and works to improve electronic industry quality performance.


Steve Delaney, CEO, Celestica
Stephen W. Delaney has been Celestica's Chief Executive Officer since January 2004. Mr. Delaney is responsible for charting Celestica's course and overall company strategy. Prior to this position, he was president, Americas operations, where he was responsible for Celestica's operations in this region. Before joining Celestica in 2001, Mr. Delaney was the vice president and general manager of Interior and Exterior Systems Business at Visteon Automotive Systems, where he was responsible for a division with 25 plants and 25,000 employees spanning North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Prior to joining Visteon in 1997, as vice president of Supply, Mr. Delaney held executive and senior management roles in the operations of AlliedSignal's Electronic Systems business, Ford's Electronics division, and IBM's Telecommunications division. Mr. Delaney holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Duke University in North Carolina and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University.


Mark DeVoss, Senior Analyst, Flash / SRAM / MCP, iSuppli Corporation
Mark came to iSuppli with more than 33 years in the semiconductor business. At iSuppli, Mark will be responsible for market analysis for NOR Flash and Specialty Memory which includes SRAM, pSRAM and Multi-Chip-Packaging.
Prior to iSuppli, he was employed by Advanced Micro Devices in the Non-Volatile Memory Group now known in the industry as Spansion. During his long tenure at AMD, Mark worked in the product marketing group where he directed many product launches for both EPROM and Flash memory devices including some of the first low-voltage products that have become the mainstay of the wireless business. He also managed a worldwide segment marketing team dedicated to the wireless market that supported the company's highest volume, highest growth business, the cellular phone market. Mark was a key cross-functional team member and a technical lead for the development of multi-chip-packaging (MCP) technology for the memory group. This team's effort laid the foundation for Spansion's participation in this explosive market by developing and launching over 150 MCP products in two years time.

Mark also worked for American Microsystems Inc., now known as AMIS. His experience there included engineering-related work ranging from mask design, R & D process development, to a stint as a product engineer in the silicon foundry group.

Mark holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Marketing from San Jose State University.



Carl Evans, Vice President, Operations, AMX
Carl Evans, Vice President of Operations at AMX, Richardson, Texas, is responsible for the global strategies and execution activities of AMX including Supply-Chain Architecture, Engineering Services, Manufacturing, Distribution, Customer Service and the IT/MIS organizations. Prior to joining AMX, Mr. Evans served as Vice President of Operations and Customer Service for Samsung Telecommunications from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Evans served as Director of Distribution and Customer Service for Siemens Telecommunications, Americas, from 1996 to 1998. Mr. Evans brings 25 years of high-tech manufacturing and customer service experience to the Company. He has held senior management positions at companies such as Network Access Corporation, Intellicall and Nortel. Mr. Evans holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of North Texas.


Dale Ford, Vice President, iSuppli Corporation
Dale Ford is a well-respected industry analyst with years of experience producing award winning market research reports and leading a team of analysts at Dataquest/Gartner Group recognized for being leading contributors within the organization. At iSuppli, Dale manages the research teams responsible for competitive analysis, forecasting, and supply/demand research of the electronics components industry. In addition, Dale focuses on research and enhanced visibility on the products, technologies, and players shaping the wireless communications market.
Dale was Chief Analyst and Director for Dataquest/Gartner Group, leading a team that delivered market research in seven syndicated services covering semiconductor applications, supply and pricing, and detailed equipment analysis. Prior to Dataquest/Gartner Group, he served at Sun Microsystems as a Product Marketing Associate. Dale earned a BSEE degree with honors from Brigham Young University and an MBA from The Wharton School.


Greg Frazier, Vice President, Avnet, Inc.; Executive Vice President of Avnet Supply Chain Services, Avnet, Inc.
Greg Frazier serves as executive vice president of Avnet Supply Chain Services, a service branch of Avnet Electronics Marketing (EM), which includes Avnet Integrated Material Services, Avnet Promiere, Avnet Supply Network Services and the Avnet Electronic Manufacturing Services Industry (EMS) sales channel. Prior to his current role, Mr. Frazier served as executive vice president and president of Avnet Integrated Material Services (IMS), the EM business unit he established. IMS provides industry-leading supply-chain management services. In recognition of his pioneering efforts in value-added services and his position as an industry expert, he was listed among Electronic Buyers' News' Hot 25 Executives for 1998. He had previously created Avnet's Strategic Account Organization, focusing on the distribution needs of the Fortune 500's top 50 electronics companies. The success of that organization led to the formation of Avnet's Value-Added Services Organization, the precursor to IMS. Mr. Frazier joined the company in 1977.


John Gabriel, Corporate, Manager, Supply Chain Social Responsibility, IBM Corporation
John M. Gabriel is corporate manager of IBM's Supply Chain Social Responsibility program. Appointed to this position in January 2004, he oversees a cross-functional team responsible for administering the company's Supplier Conduct Principles and associated guidelines, which summarize for suppliers the basic provisions they must meet in order to conduct business with IBM.

These Principles are a blend of IBM's internal policies, internationally recognized standards, and industry best practices. Under Mr. Gabriel's leadership, the program has rapidly been deployed to its suppliers. In addition, he has played a lead role in the dialog with clients, nongovernmental organizations, and industry leaders regarding IBM's efforts in this area, including representing IBM in the creation of the Electronics Industry initiative to create a standard Code of Conduct. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Gabriel managed the Global Procurement Communications group, which included stakeholder engagement on matters involving procurement and environmental affairs.

For six years, Mr. Gabriel managed one of IBM's Commodity Councils, responsible for the global sourcing of all mechanical elements (sheet metal, mechanical assemblies, plastics, and decorative coatings). He was involved in the development of the industry's first desktop personal computer using 100% recycled engineering-grade plastics for all its main structural elements. In addition, he helped to implement the application of environmentally friendly decorative powder paint coatings across IBM's hardware lines.
Mr. Gabriel holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Union College (Schenectady, NY), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University (Philadelphia, PA).



Bonnie Nixon Gardner, Global Program Manager for Supply Chain Social And Environmental Responsibility, Hewlett-Packard Co.
At HP, Ms. Gardiner works with executive and business line management on environmental, health, safety and social polices and procedures. She designed and is in the process of implementing a world class supplier relationship management program. Recently, she played a lead role in an effort with major competitors and suppliers on a common industry code of conduct that helps raise the bar in the electronics industry. In addition, Ms. Nixon Gardiner leads audit trainings and supply chain social and environmental audits in Mexico, South America, Eastern Europe, India, China and Southeast Asia. Prior to joining HP, as Vice President of an Environmental Communications Firm, Bonnie Nixon Gardiner managed more than 200 public and private sector projects with business, community and agencies. She has spent more than 20 years working with business, government and non-governmental entities on environmental and social impact assessments. Her experience spans across several industries including technology, biotech, financial, infrastructure and utilities, food processing and transportation.

Bonnie has particular expertise in sustainability and stakeholder outreach including providing strategic management for communication activities including negotiation, supplier relationship management, organizational development training and change management. Ms Nixon is published in "Navigating Rough Waters - Ethical Issues in the Water Industry."



Pamela Gordon, President and Founder, Technology Forecasters Inc.
Ms. Gordon leads a strategic consulting firm serving some of the world's best known electronics companies (Cisco, HP, Flextronics, etc.) in best-practice outsourcing, supply chain, and profitable environmental steps. Technology Forecasters' Quarterly Forum for Electronics Manufacturing Outsourcing and Supply Chain is the world's most strategic and prestigious quarterly research-discussion and networking group, with more than 200 electronics manufacturer and supplier executive members. In 2001 she wrote the book Lean and Green: Profit for Your Workplace and the Environment, published by Berrett Koehler Publishers.

Before founding Technology Forecasters, Inc., in 1987, Ms. Gordon was a senior analyst at Gnostic Concepts, Inc., an electronics industry market research firm. Ms. Gordon is a Certified Management Consultant by the Institute of Management Consultants, and was Chair of the IMC's Northern California chapter. A prolific author, Ms. Gordon has written nearly 200 articles for trade and business journals. Ms. Gordon is also quoted in more than 50 journals and newspapers, is a popular guest lecturer at universities, and is regularly interviewed on radio and television regarding outsourcing and profitable, environmental business practices. She is a Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society graduate from San Jose State University.



Hardeep Gulati, Senior Director Product Strategy, PLM and PIM Data Hub, Oracle Corp.
Hardeep is Senior Director of Product Strategy for Product Lifecycle Management applications at Oracle Corp. He has been with Oracle since 2002 and has been in HiTech industry for more than 10 years. Prior to joining Oracle, he was Vice President of Product Development at SpinCircuit Inc., an electronics PLM Company founded by Cadence, HP, Flextronics and Avnet. SpinCircuit products and content solutions helped many Fortune 500 companies to solve the product data interchange and quality problems during new product introduction between OEMs and Contract Manufacturers in Hi-Tech industry. Prior to that, Hardeep was Chief Technology Officer and founder for eBizAutomation Inc. that was acquired by SpinCircuit in 2000. He also has worked at Lucent Technologies and Dun & Bradstreet in technology and business leadership positions. He holds an MBA from Wharton Business School, Univ of Pennsylvania and M.S in Computer Science & Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay.


Michele Hermann, Director of Supply Chain, Logitech, Inc.
Michele Hermann is the Director of Supply Chain for Logitech, Inc., a design and manufacturing leader of personal peripherals. In her current position, Michele is responsible for all supply chain and distribution activities for the Americas and Australia, covering product demand management, freight and logistics, and customer fulfillment. On an annual basis, she oversees the purchasing and fulfillment of 24 million units of personal peripherals to multiple customer channels, including consumer electronic retailers, mass merchants, office superstores, ecommerce and traditional distribution and VAR channels. Over the last several years, she has focused on streamlining and optimizing the supply chain for each of Logitech's product categories, driving supply chain design processes in the new product launch process, implementing several optimally located international distribution centers and folding in the operations of two recent acquisitions. In addition, she has created a highly functional and scalable organization that has enabled Logitech to increase shipping volume four fold over the last 5 years. Prior to this position, Michele worked in the high tech and publishing markets with Sr. Financial Management positions. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Economics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and a Masters in Business Administration from Santa Clara University.


Joe Johnson, Manager of Regulatory Affairs, Cisco Systems.
As regulatory affairs manager, Joe is responsible for tracking and interpreting product environmental regulations to ensure Cisco products enjoy unrestricted access to worldwide markets. He also contributes to the development of product stewardship policies & compliance standards, and represents Cisco in worldwide industry & standards associations such as EIA, AeA, iNEMI, EICTA and IEC. Before joining Cisco in 2005, Joe was environmental compliance manager for Microsoft's $3 billion hardware products group, including Xbox and PC peripherals. Over the past 25 years, Joe held positions in manufacturing, research and regulatory affairs at Boeing, Mobil, Koch, Kennecott, and Exponent Corporations. Joe is a Licensed Professional Engineer with a BS in Materials Science from Cornell University and Masters in Environmental Technology from the University of Washington. He is chair of the iNEMI Environmentally Conscious Electronics Technology Integration Group, and former regional Director of the American Waste Management Association.


Anne Katz, Vice President, Worldwide Assembly and Test, IDT
Katz brings more than 16 years of assembly, test and packaging experience to IDT, where she oversees both domestic assembly and test operations and worldwide assembly and test strategy. In 1990, Katz joined IDT as director of assembly operations and engineering, where she defined and directed strategy for IC assembly, in addition to managing 12 assembly locations in Asia and the United States. Her previous experience includes engineering and management positions at Amkor Electronics, Saratoga Semiconductor and Signetics Corporation. She earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Santa Clara University. Katz is a recipient of the YWCA's 1999 TWIN Award, which recognizes outstanding industry, professional and community achievements.


Paul Katz, Vice President, Global Supply Chain, Arrow Electronics
Paul B. Katz is Vice President, Global Supply Chain at Arrow Electronics, Inc., one of the world's largest distributors of electronics components and a leading provider of services to the technology sector. Paul leads the development and deployment of global solutions for a supply chain that serves more than 600 suppliers and over 150,000 customers in 53 countries. Before joining Arrow in 1999, Paul was a senior partner with Mercer Management Consulting. In his consulting career he developed supply chain strategies for numerous leading companies. Paul earned his B.S. from Yale University, M.S. in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and MBA from the Wharton School. Paul is a member of the Executive Committee of the RosettaNet organization, is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Electronics Supply & Manufacturing magazine, and sits on the Advisory Board of the AMR Research Supply Chain Peer Forum.


Michael Kirschner, President, Design Chain Associates LLC
Mike Kirschner has 24 years of extensive cross-functional experience in all phases of the product lifecycle, from conception through production and end-of-life at both Electronics OEMs and semiconductor suppliers. He has held engineering and engineering management positions at Compaq, Tandem, Intel, and Intergraph, as well as at several start-ups in Component Engineering, Quality Assurance, Software Development, and Product Design roles. Prior to founding Design Chain Associates, Mike held the position of component engineering manager at Compaq's Tandem Division. Mike received his BSEE from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA and is a member of the IEEE and ISM. Mike is also on the Editorial Advisory Board of Electronics Supply & Manufacturing, a CMP publication.


Hau Lee, Thoma Professor of Operations, Information, and Technology, Graduate School of Business Director, Global Supply Chain Management Forum, Stanford University
Hau L. Lee is the Thoma Professor of Operations Management at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. His areas of specialization include supply chain management, information systems, global logistics system design, inventory planning, and manufacturing strategy. He is the founding and current Director of the Stanford Global Supply Chain Management Forum, an industry-academic consortium to advance the theory and practice of global supply chain management. Professor Lee has published widely in journals such as Management Science, Operations Research, Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, and Supply Chain Management Review. His article on "Triple A Supply Chain" in the Harvard Business Review received a McKinsey Award from the Harvard Business Review in 2005.

Professor Lee has consulted extensively for companies such as Hewlett-Packard Company, SUN Microsystems, Apple Computer, IBM, General Motors, Xilinx Corp., Accenture, Eli Lilly and Company, McKesson, Motorola, and LG Electronics. He is on the board and advisory board of several supply chain software, semiconductor, and apparel manufacturing companies.

Professor Lee obtained his B.Soc.Sc. degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Hong Kong, his M.Sc. degree in Operational Research from the London School of Economics, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Operations Research from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.



Derek Lidow, President and CEO, iSuppli Corporation
Derek founded iSuppli to provide the visibility to improve the electronic industry value chain. iSuppli accomplishes this by gathering and disseminating unique value chain data and information, and by working with its clients to use the information to make better and faster business decisions.

Prior to founding iSuppli, Derek was CEO of International Rectifier, a leading power semiconductor company. His 22-year career at IR commenced in 1977 as a production engineer. Subsequently, he served as Vice President of Operations, and in 1985 was promoted to Executive Vice President for Marketing and Administration. In 1989, he became President of IR's Power Products Division, was elected to the Board of Directors in 1994, and became CEO in March 1995.

Derek earned a BSEE degree summa cum laude from Princeton and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford as a Hertz Foundation Fellow at the age of 22. He is a member of Princeton's Engineering School Leadership Council.



John Mallon, Director of Supply Chain Solutions, ON Semiconductor
John Mallon is responsible for Supply Chain Solutions for ON Semiconductor's Customer Service, Planning, and Sales & Operations Planning operations. ON Semiconductor hosts global customer service and planning operations in Shenzhen, China; Piestany, Slovakia; and Phoenix, Ariz. He also is co-leading an ERP program to replace a host of legacy mainframe systems that the company inherited from its spin off from Motorola in 1999. Mr. Mallon was formerly the manager of the APS implementation program at ON Semiconductor that deployed the end-to-end supply chain suite of solutions from i2. Since that time, ON Semiconductor has improved On Time Delivery (OTD), improved productivity by 50 percent, increased real-time order scheduling to more than 95 percent and increased inventory turns. Prior to this, Mr. Mallon held various roles within Motorola Semiconductor as Director of Strategic Planning, Director of Product Marketing and various marketing and engineering positions. Mr. Mallon earned his Masters of Business Administration from Arizona State University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado.


Joe McBeth, Senior Director of Supply Chain Management, Jabil Circuit, Inc.
Named Senior Director of Global Supply Chain Management for Jabil in 2001, Joe McBeth led the reorganization and globalization of the Jabil SCM group across 45 locations in 19 countries worldwide. His achievements in this role included creating multiple regional teams and directing the company’s expansion into developing nations. He also managed the growth of Jabil’s SCM capabilities and offerings; as a result of his efforts, today more than 5000 Jabil suppliers and 600,000 part numbers are managed by a single, unique SAP ERP system. Joe, who was to become Jabil’s first Commodity Manager in 1997, joined the company in 1993 as Manufacturing Supervisor in the Auburn Hills, Michigan operation. There, he held positions in manufacturing-, materials-, purchasing-, and commodity-management. Joe earned a B.S. in Horticulture and an MBA in Materials Logistics Management at Michigan State University.


Robert Meshew, Group Program Manager for Microsoft Home and Entertainment Division Manufacturing Systems, Microsoft Corporation
Robert Meshew has been with Microsoft in various IT roles for over 7 years. He began his career with Microsoft implementing SAP and building supporting execution systems for planning and supply chain execution. His recent responsibilities included managing the Microsoft Home and Entertainment Manufacturing IT team which is responsible for the systems work supporting the Xbox, Mouse, Keyboard, Peripheral and Full Packaged product lines. His current role is as the application architect for the Microsoft Home and Entertainment division. Prior to his employment at Microsoft he worked for a fortune 500 distribution company installing, configuring and deploying SAP and other planning and execution systems. In his spare time you can find him climbing and clinging to one of the many mountains that surround his home in the Pacific Northwest.


Dawn Moore, Global Outsourcing Manager, Intel Corporation
Dawn Moore is the Outsourcing Manager of the Global Systems Manufacturing Outsource Group at Intel Corporation and is responsible for worldwide supplier and contract management for all board and assembly outsourcing as well as new business start up and introduction. She has been with Intel in a Supply Chain Management role in Corporate Purchasing, New Construction/Project Mgt, Materials Management, Commodity Management and Indirect/Services for the past twelve years. In addition to her core responsibilities, Dawn is heavily involved in the development and deployment of training and supply chain strategy.

Prior to Intel, Dawn worked as a Sr. Subcontract Negotiator for Douglas Aircraft Company in Long Beach, California and held several roles in procurement, manufacturing, inventory management and engineering support. She is a graduate of Michigan State University with a BS in Materials Logistics Management and has an MBA from Pepperdine University. Dawn is also CPIM certified.



Perry Mulligan, Senior Vice President, Supply Management and Chief Procurement Officer, Solectron Corporation
Perry Mulligan, senior vice president, Supply Management and chief procurement officer joins Solectron's Operations leadership team from Celestica, where he most recently served as vice president, Supply Chain Management Customer Solutions. Mulligan brings more than 26 years of manufacturing, materials and engineering expertise to this critical position.

In his role, Mulligan assumes leadership for all sourcing, logistics and materials management activities at Solectron. Mulligan directly leads all sourcing and central logistics teams and has strong functional dotted-line relationships to all materials, warehousing and logistics activities performed at Solectron's manufacturing and repair sites.
Prior to his six years of senior management experience at Celestica, where he also served as vice president, Commodity Management Asia, and vice president, Corporate Commodity Management, Mulligan held various supply chain, IT and purchasing management positions at Nortel Networks. Mulligan brings to Solectron extensive relationships with many of our largest customers, including Cisco, Nortel, NEC and Lucent.



Mary Murphy-Hoye, Director of IT Industry Research and IT Senior Principal Engineer, Intel Corporation
Mary Murphy-Hoye is Intel's Director of IT Industry Research and IT Senior Principal Engineer reporting to Intel's CIO. Mary currently specializes in next-generation supply network integration, strategic planning processes, and research of disruptive technologies as applied to emerging business models. She chairs the Global Manufacturing and Supply Network Research Committee reporting to the Intel Research Council, and leads the IT Industry Business Research team. She also manages the IT external research portfolio and leads the IT Strategy Research Forum, chartered with setting the IT research agenda for Intel. Mary has co-authored a National Research Council book on Supply Chain Integration, and speaks on Supply Chain Integration and eBusiness to industry and academic audiences worldwide. She currently leads two research teams at MIT Sloan and MIT Media Lab, investigating Internal Market strategies for demand management, and Supply Chain Visualization techniques through the integration of System Dynamics, Knowledge Management, and Tangible User Interface capabilities. In addition, she sponsors a joint research project with Stanford and MIT, focused on developing new Demand Generation strategies through the investigation of product transition practices and performance.

Ms. Murphy-Hoye has also been responsible for corporate leadership of Intel's Materials/ Procurement technology, business, and people systems strategic development, as well as operations responsibilities, including organizational consulting and facilitation, strategic long range planning, and communications. Ms. Murphy-Hoye has also managed the development of the distributed Global Inventory Management System, led the SAP Indirect Procurement program, developed an Artificial Intelligence-based factory capacity simulation / planning capability, as well as defined Constraint-Based Planning capabilities across the factory supply chain.

Ms. Murphy-Hoye has a BS degree in Mathematics from the University of Arizona.



Srini Murty, Vice President, Supply Chain Management Solutions, i2 Technologies
Srini Murty is i2 Vice President of High Technology Solutions. In this role he works closely with customers providing guidance for supply chain improvements and enhancing the capabilities for the next generation supply chain solutions such as sales and operations planning (S&OP), Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, risk management and more. Since joining i2 in 1996, he has served in various roles including consulting, business development, pre-sales, marketing, and product strategy.

Prior to his time at i2, Murty worked at Cyrix Semiconductors implementing i2 and SAP solutions in the company's manufacturing division. He has also previously worked at Harris Semiconductors, now Intersil, on the development and implementation of the Berkeley Planning System. In this role, Murty and his team received the prestigious management science Franz Edelman Award in 1993.

Murty received his bachelors of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Regional Engineering College in Surathkal, India. He also received is masters of science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Alabama.



Michael Peters, Director, Information Technology, Supply Chain and Finance Systems, Network Appliance Inc.
Mr. Peters is responsible for applications development for systems supporting the global Manufacturing and Finance organizations at NetApp. Over the past several years, NetApp has used IT systems to leverage its business model, responding effectively to volume increases while also driving quality and on time delivery performance. Mr. Peters will discuss how NetApp's implementation of Webplan RapidResponse aided in achieving NetApp's scalability and flexibility goals.


Paul Semenza, Vice President, Display and Consumer Research, iSuppli Corporation
Paul manages market research and strategic analysis activities in electronic displays and consumer electronics. From 1997 to 2000, Paul took on a variety of display research and management roles at Stanford Resources, and since the acquisition by iSuppli in 2000 has played a key role in integrating Stanford Resources into iSuppli.

Prior to joining Stanford Resources, Paul was a Program Officer at the Computer Science and Telecommunications Board of the National Research Council, where he directed studies on software engineering, wireless communication technologies, and the economic and social impacts of computing and communications technologies. Previously, Paul contributed to business development and technology assessment activities at Mogee Research and Analysis Associates, a patent trend analysis firm. He was an analyst at the U.S. Congress Office of Technology Assessment (OTA), from 1993 to 1995, where he wrote the study Flat Panel Displays in Perspective and contributed to a study on innovation and commercialization of emerging technologies. Paul received a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and Master of Science in electro-optics from Tufts University. In 1994, he was awarded a Master in Public Policy degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.



Danny Salinas, Program Manager, Environmental Directives & U.S. Accessibility, Nortel
Danny Salinas is the Corporate Program Manager of the Environmental Directives and U.S. Accessibility Legislations. In his current role, Danny works with cross functional teams to develop and implement the infrastructures necessary to support the RoHS compliancy requirement across Nortel's supply chain, and he is also responsible for ensuring that specific solutions are provided for people with disabilities in order that they can experience the optimum usage of application features available in Nortel equipments.

Danny has over 29 years experience in telecommunication and networking, more than 20 years in a management capacity, and all gained in Nortel. He has held various management positions in manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain management including Director, Manufacturing Operations, and Technical Operations and Director, Carrier Grade Solutions. Danny has significant experience in providing technical and organizational leadership during business startup, new product introduction, technical development, mergers, acquisitions, divestures, and restructuring programs. He has an MBA in General Management from the University of Phoenix, a BS in Engineering from Cogswell Polytechnic College. Danny is listed in the 2004 edition of The National Register's Who's Who in Executives and Professionals.



Matt Sheerin, Partner, Senior Analyst, Electronic Supply Chain, Thomas Weisel Partners LLC
Matt Sheerin is a Partner in the Research Department at Thomas Weisel Partners LLC, where he covers the Electronic Supply Chain. His coverage universe includes Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS); component and connector makers and distributors; and IT products distributors and resellers. Prior to joining the firm in June 2000, Mr. Sheerin was Editor-in-Chief of Electronic Buyers' News (EBN), the premier weekly newspaper in the electronics industry, where he oversaw coverage of semiconductors, distribution, outsourcing, and supply chain management. He is a recognized authority on the Electronics Supply Chain, and he has been a featured speaker at several industry conferences. Mr. Sheerin also has held financial reporting and editing positions at several daily newspapers, including Investor's Business Daily. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Thiel College and a Master of Journalism degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.


John Sicard, Vice President, Customer Service, Kinaxis, Inc.
John Sicard spent seven years helping to build a number of key functional areas at Kinaxis before being promoted to Vice President, Customer Services. Previous positions included Team Leader, User Interface Design, where he played a key role in developing the Windows-based user interface for Kinaxis solutions, and Senior Manufacturing Consultant (pre-sales), where he led the successful deployment of the first Kinaxis Web-native product.

In 1999, the Customer Services Division was formed under John's leadership. The team was tasked with delivering customized solutions to new and existing Kinaxis customers. He also directed the "Business Process Improvement" initiatives with major accounts, including Northern Telecom, Lucent Technologies, Teradyne, and AlliedSignal Aerospace. As Vice President, Customer Services, John ensures a fully integrated customer support lifecycle that begins with developing tailored solutions and continues with delivering ongoing services. Before Kinaxis, John held senior software design positions in research and development at Enterprise Planning Systems and FastMAN Software Systems, Inc. John earned a Bachelor of Computer Science, General Science Option, from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada, which included a strong software development curriculum.



Ray Wang, Senior Analyst, Forrester Research, Inc.
Ray is a member of Forrester's Enterprise Applications research team, analyzing trends in core ERP and strategies in enterprise software licensing. Ray's research focuses on ERP operations, including order management, distribution, billing, and manufacturing. Research topics include cross-functional business processes in ERP (like order to cash); the solutions, technology, and systems integrators that support those processes; and the midmarket ERP space. Ray also covers customer data integration. Planned research includes Forrester's first Forrester Wave™ on order management for enterprise ERP and the first Wave on enterprise software licensing.

Ray brings enterprise software experience honed from more than a decade of product management, management consulting, and marketing roles. Prior to joining Forrester, he headed up the CRM Analyst Relations program for PeopleSoft. At Oracle, Ray served senior roles in product management for both the ERP and CRM product lines. And while at Personify, he was the marketing chief for a Web-analytics startup valued at $2 billion.

Before working for packaged application vendors, Ray developed his management consulting and strategy experiences at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, Deloitte Consulting, and the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He specialized in SAP implementations, general strategy, program management, mergers and acquisitions, and healthcare.

Ray graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in natural sciences and public health. His graduate training includes a master's in public health from the Johns Hopkins University in health policy and management and health finance and management. He is also certified in SAP FI/CO modules, facilitation, and program management office.



Bill White, Chief Information Office and Sr. Vice President Information Technology, Amkor Technology, Inc.
Bill White is the CIO and Senior Vice President of ICS at Amkor Technology, Inc. Bill directs Amkor's worldwide Information Technology infrastructure operations, software applications management and the supply chain electronic commerce initiatives. In his current role at Amkor, Bill is leading a corporate wide systems modernization that will serve the needs of 20,000 personnel worldwide.

Bill's team of more than 300 professionals is responsible for the identification of appropriate process and technology solutions, deployment of these solutions, and management of the supporting infrastructure. With extensive international manufacturing on one side and increasingly more complex product development and inventory management on the customers' side, the team is responsible for technology enabling one of the industry's most sophisticated and complex supply chains. Amkor Technology currently has major factory operations in Korea, Philippines, Japan, China, and Taiwan with sales throughout the world and business management centered in the United States.

Bill is currently serving as Chairman of the RosettaNet Executive Board. This is an international standards organization dedicated to advancing commerce throughout the business community utilizing standard messaging and electronic communications.

Bill brought thirty-five years of cross industry experience to Amkor Technology. He held senior positions at Electronic Data Systems, McDonnell Douglas, Ademco/Borg Warner, General Motors, and Collins/Rockwell. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State.
